The Scouts Direct Website is Scouts New Zealand’s official online store .
Overview of the shopping process
This website operates just like other shopping websites.
1. Products are added to a shopping cart
2. The shopping cart is checked out – this is where you provide shipping address details
3. The order is paid for using a credit card
4. A confirmation e-mail is sent to you
5. The order is picked, packed and shipped via courier post.
How safe is it
The Credit Card Transaction is handled by DPS Payment Express , a solution provider connected to all of the major New Zealand Trading banks. Your Credit Card details are not stored on the Scouts Direct website.
Do I have to use a Credit Card
Scouts Direct would appreciate it if you could use the credit card payment option. This saves us time and cost – which helps to keep our prices down.
Purchase Order - If using this option - payment MUST be received within seven days. Payment can be by cheque, or Internet transfer. Please ensure the Invoice Number is quoted when paying.
Shipping Costs are built in to the product price.
Registering with the site
The first time you go to check out your shopping cart you will be prompted to register with the site. Registration includes your contact details, username and password.
It is important that you remember your username – we suggest that you use your e-mail address as you probably won't forget that.
Passwords should be at least 8 characters long with a number included. E.g. maria567
Lost my Password
To retrieve your password:
1. Click the login link
2. Click the Forgot Passord Link
3. Enter your username
4. Click the Send Reminder button.
The Password Reminder feature will e-mail you a copy of your password.
